WHO WE ARE

Tafika Arts is a bicontinental family-owned arts business founded by Jani and Nicole Kufa. The company is rooted in Zambia, Zimbabwe, and the United States, though the majority of our items come from the Victoria Falls region of Zimbabwe, where our family has been immersed in the local arts scene for many decades.

We work directly with artisans & entrepreneurs on the ground to foster sustainable and mutually beneficial relationships; our partners are family and are always paid at or above fair market value.

WHERE WE STARTED

Our journey began in 2006 when we traveled to visit family working at the Zambezi Arts Market, located near the falls. Many of our family members have worked in this market for decades, crafting and marketing local arts to tourists visiting the Falls. Through these family members, we have worked closely with the Women’s Art & Craft Market (located within the larger Zambezi Arts Market) to promote their works here in the United States.

As we’ve grown, we have been privileged to have connected with many artists throughout the region, whose works we now feature for sale. Please visit the “Artists” page to learn more.

WHAT WE DO

Tafika Arts offers an extensive collection of handcrafted works, including clothing and jewelry, wire crafts, wrought ironwork, hardwood carvings, stone sculptures, textiles, basketry, and so much more. We strive to curate a diverse selection that both showcases the range of artistic mediums in the region, and caters to a variety of tastes & budgets.

We believe the creative spirit has the power to transcend borders & cultures, and that art is a universal language which can break down barriers and foster understanding between individuals, communities, and nations.

Passion is the driving force of Tafika Arts.

We love what we do, and we know you’ll love it too!
